Just a little history of the Arden-Arcade area is that it was originally part of a Mexican land grant deeded to John Sutter, called the Rancho Del Paso. Another owner along the way was James Ben Ali Haggin, who was famous for its horse breeding and now has part of the area named after him. Interesting side note is that the "arcade" part of the name came from the old name of a large meadow of oak trees once located on the Arcade Creek.

Arden-Arcade then developed into many neighborhoods.
